Xenon headlights can save lives and are environmental friendly. This is the result of a study by the German TÜV Rheinland Group, a service provider on the field of safety and quality.

“Xenon headlights can not only save lives but also offer huge opportunities in environmental terms,” reports the company. The headlights will put 1.3 gram CO2 less per kilometer in the atmosphere and this is a sufficient contribution to the reduction of CO2 gasses.

The German study also emphasizes that the number of fatal accidents at night could be reduced by 18 percent if all vehicles would be equipped with xenon headlights. The number of injuries could be reduced by 6 percent if vehicles would have xenon headlights.

TÜV Rheinland Group has its headquarters in Keulen, Germany and is active in 60 countries.
