Mazda RX-3, also known as Savanna in Japan is a 4-seated saloon that was equipped with a rotary. Started as a sportier and smaller version its brother the Mazda RX-2 was greatly successful, especially in the U.S. It used a 12A engine as that of an RX-2 in Americas compared to a 10A rotary the same being used in the Mazda R100. The Mazda RX-3 was very successful as a racecar with its debut win at the ‘’FUJI 500’’ race in September 1971.The main competitor being Nissan.
