The Buick LeSabre has a 3.8L engine. Sometimes, the accelerator pedal would briefly get jammed and resist free movement on pressing. When you apply more pressure on the pedal, it would become free and operate normally. This seems to be happen more regularly and the pressure needed to break it free becomes greater with the passage of time. Firstly, you need to remove the plastic shroud covering the engine of the car. This you can easily do by unscrewing the oil fill spout in a half turn and then by lifting it up. This will expose the fuel injection system of the car and its mechanism. You need to now remove the rubber boot that is located in between the air box and the fuel injection system. You need to create a laminar air inflow inside the chamber, and then it will work as a heat absorber or the flame suppressor in event of it backfiring. If this fails again repeatedly, then you need to remove the accelerator position sensor on the front of the body of the fuel injection system. This will expose one side of the butterfly shaft, and that was why it was giving so much trouble all this time. You will need a Torx wrench to remove it. Buick LeSabre cars come with factory fitted HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps, which is more commonly known as Xenon headlights.
