The Buick Enclave was a 2008 model, a new and improved version of the SUV launched in May 2007. The model was first seen at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, making it the first Lambda vehicle to be displayed. Lambda vehicles are SUVs featuring a three-row seating. At the 2003 Detroit Auto Show, the car was launched based on the Buick Centieme concept. As with the other modals, the line was equipped with a full HID Kit. The model was produced to replace Buick's other SUVs – the Rendezvous and the Terraza which has the style of a minivan, and the Rainier which adopts the style that of a truck. This model was built to fit for seven passengers. Buyers can opt for a bench seat on the second row instead of the standard two chairs. This increases the seating to eight. It is also the largest unibody vehicle for sale in the world as its body was about an inch longer than its Lambda siblings. However, the model shares similar engine specifications and xenon headlights with its Lambda siblings. Due to its large seating capacity, it is often praised for its huge cargo space. It is also honored for being one of the quietest vehicles available for sale in the United States, as well as for the quality of the interior. Response to the Buick Enclave was so good that General Motors had to add a third shift to the Delta Township plant in order to meet its demand.
